We are proud to work in a collaborative effort with community stakeholders, local and international academic institutions, to design and implement strategic action plans according to the community's needs.

  • Education remains a cornerstone of Friends of El Salvador’s work.

    In addition to scholarships and programming, the organization supports educational infrastructure in El Salvador by helping improve learning environments and access to resources. This includes investments in school facilities and the development of Little Libraries, which promote literacy, independent learning, and community ownership of education. These initiatives reflect the organization’s belief that access to safe spaces, books, and educational tools is essential for long-term academic success.

    300 Seasonal food & toiletry baskets

    Movie incentives for academic achievement. 300 families served annually.

  • Utilizing community development strategic planning to help the community build land bridges to connect rural villages, such as a pedestrian bridge that connects to a local elementary school in Canton Miraflores, San Miguel.
